Analysis of the Present Situation of Translation Practice Report Writing for Application-oriented English Majors and Its Countermeasures

Translation practice report is a practical writing mode in applied undergraduate English majors. This study conducted surveys through open-ended questionnaires and interviews, aiming to understand the current situation, identify problems, propose strategies, explore translation that better suits programs. The investigation focused on purposes of practice, process report. results showed students’ main motivation for engaging was intrinsic, driven by interests desire improve skills. During process, students extensively used online resources assistance. greatest difficulty encountered translating complex lengthy sentences, while quality control translated texts heavily relied supervision from mentors. most significant challenges faced during were whether or not utilize theories how apply them effectively guide case analysis.
